“A few hours after this picture was made Harry F Powers (shown handcuffed), Clarksburg 'bluebeard' confessed to the killings of Mrs Asta Eicher and her three children. Powers as Cornelius Pierson wooed Mrs Eicher, a widow of Park Ridge, Illinois, by mail. She went to West Virginia to marry him, and he there killed her and  her children”.
